INtrigued by the Atlantic Publix birds, I headed out to check them out. What I saw were 2 nests in the Publix sign on the building. One was a pair of common mynas. The superb starling was still gathering nesting material and taking it to the palm tree directly on front of this sign. I can't guarantee it, but I think there may be 2 superbs. I saw one fly into the palm, never coming out and then one was sitting on the wires directly to the east of store. That tel. pole is also riddled with holes. Next I followed the superb to the vacant lot in front of the store and watched the starling gather dried grasses. This is when a small grasshopper sparrowlike bird caught my eye. It was a female orange bishop. Didn't have a male though. There was also a nice 4some of gray kingbirds. Nice parking lot!
