I visited Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park today for the first time in 2 weeks. The birds were much more vocal, with the Magnolia Warbler and a Common Yellowthroat singing. Blue-headed and White-eyed Vireos were also singing.
First signs of migration were 4 bright Northern Parulas and a male and female Purple Martin flying together. Two robins and 20 Cedar Waxwings are still around. An interesting flycatcher needs further study -- it's very shy and doesn't vocalize.
