Go onto Reikenbacker Causeway into Key Biscayne.
After a few minutes, look on the left for signs to Crandon. Look on the way over for those Greater Black backed Gulls on the street lamps along the bridges on the way over. Take a left into the park. Theres a fee there, but the birds are worth it. Lots of Piping Plover. Look out into the ocean for Gannet and Red-breasted Merganser. Mostly on the shore are Sanderling and turnstone. Bring your guide for Dowither so you know their alarm calls, which is the only way easily to tell the two species apart. 5 species of gull hang out there. I've also seen Dunlin, Spotted Sandpiper, Black-bellied Plover in winter plumage, and a Cute tame Least Sandpiper. The most I've had is near a rocky shoreline heading North along the beach. Kinda a long walk, but it;s nice. Try low-tide. Bill Baggs State Park is probably better in diversity. To get there, keep heading SouthEast on Reikenbacker, through the town and into Bill Baggs. There are nice ponds with freshwater ducks, and nature trails, aswel as a saltwater marsh. Look out off shore for Gannet, sea-ducks, merganser and jaegear.
