I stopped by A.D Barnes thinking I wouldn't see much, but saw a few birds. I saw three Black-and-whites in one tree at the same time. I also saw a number of Yellow-throated Warblers that were brightly marked. Several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers were present. One of these came down on a low branch 10 feet away from me to investigate. A couple of Tufted Titmouse were seen and heard, one eating a worm. At one point I noted 10 to 12 Warblers hopping around up high in the Oak trees. These were the trees surrounding the campfire area near the Nature Center building. Other birds seen were many Cardinals,a Rooster,a beautiful small white Duck in the articial pond with a waterfall,Blue Jays, and others. I was there about 1.5hrs today starting about 12 noon. Many people were in the park but the Nature Trails area was empty. At Cutler Wetlands around 1000 this a.m. there were 300-400 birds: Shore Birds,Storks,White Pelicans,Osprey, Herons (many kinds),Egrets,Ibis,Plovers,Gulls etc.
