Did anyone ever find your binos? I was out there on Sunday and had an eye out for them, but didn't see anything (other than the hawk). If they fell off and bounced from the mowed margin into the tall grass beyond, you'd almost have to walk the whole stretch to have a chance at seeing them. They weren't out in sight, though.

: Hi everybody,

: Was out at Chekika yesterday (just the roads, the unit is closed as you know), and in my excitement of Id ing
: my first ever Dark-Morph Short-tailed Hawk, I believe I put the binos on top of the roof of the vehicle we were driving in and they were lost. Cars were driving up in back of us and we had to hurry off.

: (Later when we stopped at a Mobil Station, I thought I had brought them into the Station on Krome and they were lost there, but know I believe they were actually lost at Chekika)

: If any kind soul has a spare moment this weekend (and wants to see dark morph S-T Hawk:), if you could check SW168 St. I would very much appreciate it. We were about half-way down from Krome and exiting when I believe they "flew" away.

: They are Celestron Regals 8x42, black w/orange lettering, thin strap with handknotted ties. Feel like I left a friend out there. I'm 200 plus miles away and working this weekend. Please call if found (239) 273-0057.

: Thanks,
: Marie
