Lorena and I birded Loop Road today for the first time and, not knowing what to expect, were pleasantly surprised at the numbers of Great Crested Flycatchers, Eastern Kingbirds, Northern Cardinals and White-eyed Vireos. No lifers today, but it was just nice to be outdoors and not get rained on!!

Green Heron
White Ibis
Black and Turkey Vultures
Osprey (Tamiami Trail)
Snail Kite (Tamiami Trail)
Red-shouldered Hawk
Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Great Crested Flycatcher
Eastern Kingbird
White-eyed Vireo
Blue Jay
American Crow
Purple Martin (Oasis Visitor Center)
Tufted Titmouse
Carolina Wren
House Wren
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Northern Mockingbird
Northern Cardinal
Red-winged Blackbird
Common Grackle
Boat-tailed Grackle

Also saw Raccoons, Marsh Rabbit, White-tailed Deer, Feral Cat, and a large Turtle.
