Birds in and near West Kendall

The Blue Grosbeaks are back at the Krome RR track site. Buntings are also present, as is Grasshopper Sparrow. I don't have an accurate count yet as I've heard more than I've seen. No sign of Dickcissel yet.

Also present in the area (besides the Swainson's Hawk reported by Jeff Bouton) are at least 3 White-tailed Kites.

Just south of W. Kendall, the Lark Sparrows continue to be present at Larry and Penny Thompson Park. Enter from SW 184th St (Eureka) and park near shelters 2 & 4. They have been seen near the playground and also in and under the trees across the grassy field. I saw 3 on my most recent visit, but 5 were seen earlier.
