Hi everyone,
This morning on the way to work my wife and I were stuck in traffic and heard a strange call we have never heard before. We both looked around and she spotted a small group of starlings, but starlings do not make that call I said. Almost as it heard me the cowbird jumped up on the edge of the canal bank and started searching for food in the grass. It was a Juvenile; brown with streaking on the underparts. We tried to take a pic. with a camera phone but no luck. Never seen a cowbird this was a first for both of us. The bird was seen at 8:45 am on NW 25 Street and about 82 ave. in Doral. The bird was near a bus stop. We also have been seeing terns and nighthawks arond this area.
