Yesterday I completed a breeding bird survey in Everglades National Park, along the main park road from Flamingo to just before Pa-hay-okee. Tallied were the following:

Anhinga - 1
Great White Heron - 1
Great Egret - 69
Snowy Egret - 2
Little Blue Heron - 3
Tricolored Heron - 2
Green Heron - 2
White Ibis - 3
Black Vulture - 1
Turkey Vulture - 6
Osprey - 2
Swallow-tailed Kite - 6
Bald Eagle - 1
Red-shouldered Hawk - 9
Eurasian Collared-Dove - 1
Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1
Barred Owl - 2
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 25
Pileated Woodpecker - 1
Great Crested Flycatcher - 9
White-eyed Vireo - 25
American Crow - 41
Carolina Wren - 1
Prairie Warbler - 6
Common Yellowthroat - 21
Eastern Towhee - 1
Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow - 1
Northern Cardinal - 30
Red-winged Blackbird - 14
Eastern Meadowlark - 4
Boat-tailed Grackle - 11
