Fall Migration

Friday evening in Key Largo I had a flock of roughly 30 martins, that I assume were Purple Martins, flying south. As these bird do not breed in the keys, I think it is safe to call them fall migrants. Interestingly, earlier in the day I had a Barn Swallow on Big Pine Key which I'm assuming was a very late spring migrant as it was an adult and was nowhere near any plausible breeding habitat.
