Question: Fort De Soto , Babcock -Webb worth going to in summer?

I am from the Miami area but we will be visiting the Ft. Myers Beach area for at least a week during mid-summer. I was wondering if the areas above are worth traveling to from Ft. Myers. I know these places are good during migration. Any other suggestions for the surrounding area?
