Two of these beauties were seen at 1940 last eve at Dump Marsh. They were about 35 ft. from edge of bank . The coloration was much richer than depicted in the Sibley Field Guide drawing. Their reflections were mirrored perfectly in the still water and they were surrounded by the green and brown reeds located there. It would have been great to have a digital camera. If you go there beware of the sand fleas!
