I corrected the names.

Nonetheless, I think it's unfortunate that the AOU committee failed to give the bird a new English name when they recognized it was not really a tanager. Instead, they chose to pretend "Spindalis" is an English name.

I thought the local name Mark-head would have been a decent choice. Stripe-head would have been even better.

If AOU is consistent in their naming, we can look forward to Scarlet Piranga, Summer Piranga, Western Piranga, etc. as these birds are not tanagers either.
