Katrina felled the 3 nest sites I knew about. Last year a pair built a nest off of 144th. The male went missing but the hen sucessfully raised the chick. I'm still in touch with the property owners and they said the hen and fledling make regular visits to their feeder but the palm is unstable although a pair did try it out. There is another nest site in Gables Estates but the pair don't seem to stay there- just show up for a little more decorating. Haven't seen these birds in a month though. Please don't chop down dead royals. The wild B&g prefer them to the artifical nest box we tried.
