Out of a feeling of duty I followed up on Bill Pranty's second hand report of a possible Zenaida Dove. This morning I spent about 2 hours at and around the west end of the Marathon Airport and failed to see anything resembling a Zenaida Dove. I did see several Mourning Doves that seemed to be coming to the ponds there, getting a drink, then leaving so it may just be that I didn't spend enough time.
Birds (of interest) that I did see:
White-crowned Pigeons: lots flying over the neighborhoods to the north
Semipalmated Plover: 6
Black-bellied Plover: 3
Short-billed Dowitcher: 3
(Western) Willet: 1, looked like probably a second year bird, it had no "breeding" plumage, but had some very worn, retained upperwing coverts. What do we know about late dates for Western Willet?

A brief seawatch from Coco Plum Beach produced 4 Gannets, but no Storm-Petrels or Actic Terns or anything juicy.
