This morning I met Bob Mumford and Scott from West Palm at the Botanical Gardens in North Key Largo to locate and photograph Mangrove Cuckoo and Black Whiskered Vireo. We had to wait a little while but were successful.

From there we headed to Marathon to see and photograph Roseate Terns. We found at least 10 maybe 12 mixed in with many more Least Tern. We got permission from an employee at the Government Center to enter the posted area on the water and got good looks and a few photos.

On to Marathon Airport for Antillean Nighthawks. After many hours waiting Scott and I first heard then saw and heard several Antillean Nighthawks at the West end of the airport.

4 Year birds for me and Scott picked up 3 life birds. Bob was happy to get photos of Mangrove Cuckoo and Black Whiskered Vireo.

Had a long but fun day...
