As a post script to our our North Florida birding adventure, here's a little info I found on the net about these two towns that we saw signs for on our journey to the Panhandle:

A little info on Two Egg, Florida: Not far from Two Egg, Florida is Sneads, or is it the other way around? By the way, Two Egg is still not much more than a crossroads consisting of a few houses near the intersection of two back roads, north of U.S. 90 between Sneads and Marianna. The place has been there for over a century and reputedly got its name from the habit of several of the locals coming into the general store to trade, armed not with money, but with two eggs.

Near the Gadsden County, Florida town of Havana is a small settlement called Coon Bottom. Coon Bottom apparently got its name by being a bottom (along the Ochlockonee River) with an abundance of racoons. It's most prominent business, both now and for the past fifty years at least, is the Coon Bottom Hunt Club.
