You have any trees you are not very fond of? Kill one, and wait for the woodpeckers! I didn't kill this tree, it fact it's not dead. It just hasn't recovered since Wilma. LIttle did I know it would get such a good bird. Not sure which is a better yard bird, the Hairy today or the Yellow-headed Blackbird on 10/23/04? Hum? Probably the Hairy Woodpecker.
