According to what I read in the bird books ( like Audubon) , South Florida is the last area in the US that these birds are found. I have never seen them, and I hope to one day. Unfortunately several posts about them indicated that this area near the FTL airport was not the greatest neighborhood, so I was a little afraid to venture over.
