Great that you saw the Florida Panther! With regard to inland Black-whiskered Vireos you mention, even though I was not in attendance, Alan Murray, Is Gotti & friend Bill saw one at the L-3 Canal on CR 835 on Saturday, May 12th. This canal is located on CR835 in Hendry County about a mile west/souhwest of Blumberg Rd. A few years back, Vince McGrath & I saw a Gray Kingbird at this same location so apparently, these birds use the canal as a flyway. The BWVI is undoubtedly a Hendry County record and is very far inland. . . .
