The Western Spindalis put up a brief appearance from
9:45 AM to 10 AM in Evergreen Cemetery today.
It was interesting to see this feisty little bird
chase away a Blue Jay.

It and most of the other interesting birds were
concentrated around the fruiting ficus tree that
overhangs the foundation of the new grave near the canal.
This is just a few yards north of the sand lot.

The other interesting birds were:
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Northern Parula
Ovenbird
American Redstart

PS. Russell McGregor of Hollywood was the only other birder
present at the time.
