Hey birders! Today I went to the service road across Matheson to find the elusive Kentucky Warbler. I went to the trail and saw some movement in some brush. This group of people passed by and probably flushed the bird. I was discouraged. But I had patience and kept looking for movement. Then again the movement. I tried to get closer and accidentely flushed a the Kentucky Warbler!! Good looks for 3 seconds. Good to see him still in the area.. The Kentucky was in a small flock of warblers including Blackpoll, American Redstart, Black-throated Blue, and Prairie. The key is to find movement beneath the brush. The bird is moving very near to the ground. Its unseen until it pops up. Good luck to anybody looking for it!
