Veterans Park, Boca Raton

Hello all,

I am not sure how many people are in the area, but for those who may be interested, I thought I would make a post about Veterans Park in Boca Raton.

I live near this park and have visited it several times, mostly to let my children play at the playground, but I have also gone on separate occasions for birding. Although this is a relatively small park there can be a nice variety of birds there.

To make a long story shorter, on Friday I made a quick stop and within a few minutes spotted several birds, but a Indigo Bunting was the one that got me the most excited, so I made a quick trip home to get my camera.

When I got back, the Indigo was nowhere to be seen, but I did observe a few other birds and was able to get photos of about half of the interesting birds that I saw.

I wish I were a more experienced birder as there were all sorts of songs/calls going on, but I could not identify them. :(
