Well, Mass birders are very use to birding under hostile conditions. But, Saturday, April 14th. ranks close to some of those New England Xmass counts. Braving, tornado warnings, gale force winds, frequent rain showers, the team recorded only 95 species. Best bird was Swainson's Warbler. So there will be no high count awards going to the "Massducks". Better luck to the other teams. I continue to bet on the A and A team (Alex and Andy). The "ducks" (minus John) are off to the " Isle of reptilian abstain" a.k.a Dry Tortugas.
