Unfortunately, many birds and other wildlife are injured and in need of rehab for a chance to survive. There are 6 places that provide services. Carrying these phone numbers when in the field could be most beneficial.
(305) 852-4486 is the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center, 93600 Overseas Highway, Tavernier.
(954) 524-4302 for the Wildlife Care Center, 3200 S.W. 4th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale.
(305) 646-4244 is a direct number to the Museum of Science in Miami; ask for Mike Perez or Carlos Pages, 3280 South Miami Avenue, Miami.
(954) 752-7732 for Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hopsital, 3916 N.W. 73 Avenue, Coral Springs.
(305) 751-9840, is the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, 1275 N.E. 79 Street, Miami Beach.
(305) 248-0947, for Wee Care Wildlife Rehab Center, 15390 S.W. 269 Terrace, Homestead.

A cell phone is ever present! Acting quickly could save a life. Good birding to all in 2003 ... Jill
