Actually, Rock was still there when I left. Not much to add in terms of species: Red-eyed Vireo, Tufted Titmouse, Brown Thrasher and Yellow-rumped Warbler. What was amazing about today's visit to Barnes is that most of the good stuff (2 male, 1 female Scarlet Tanager, 3 male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, 15+ Cedar Waxwings, 2 Brown Thrashers, an Eastern Kingbird, a Cape May, plus several catbirds, BT Blues, B&Ws, Parulas and Prairies)were all seen in the same fruiting Ficus tree, sometimes all feeding at the same time! This tree, which still had plenty of fruit left when I finally pulled myself away, is located near the park entrance, to the right of the locked gate at the boardwalk end of the nature center.
