SEMINOLE COUNTY
A HARRIS’S SPARROW was found at the Marina Isles fish camp on the north side of highway 46 just east of the bridge over Lake Jessup/St Johns River this weekend. Drive into the fish camp (pretty motley looking place) past the "restaurant/general store" and park in the parking lot just beyond. The bird seems fond of the grassy area to the west side of the parking lot in front of the River Hilton houseboat. It was seen feeding in the company of Savannah Sparrows and Palm Warblers. It moved around to several different locations but was always relocated feeding on the ground again in another area of the park (C. Pierce). DeLorme p. 80

Good Birding!
