Today, I led a field trip for Norland Middle to Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Least Bitterns were conspicuous; I saw at least four. Also seen:
Mottled Duck
Blue-winged Teal
Double-crested Cormorant
Anhinga (young still in vicinity of nests)
Great Blue Heron (young still on nests)
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Tricolored Heron
Green Heron
Turkey Vulture
Sora (1)
Purple Gallinule (many)
Common Moorhen
American Coot
Black-necked Stilt (on nest)
Least Tern
Eurasian Collared-Dove
Fish Crow
Purple Martin
European Starling
Red-winged Blackbird
Boat-tailed Grackle
