While bonefishing on the oceanside of Elliot I flushed a Red-headed Woodpecker from a Buttonwood that is on the edge of a campground clearing. I waded ashore and was able to spend an hour with this very accomodating bird. Got some good photos, will email them to Larry and ask him to post. Spent thirty minutes about 18 to 20 feet from it. Gorgeous bird next to gorgeous water. What a surprise- I was thrilled.
God that key is beautiful.
