On 2-9-01 on the north side of the causeway going from Titusville to Merritt Is, about 200 yards in the water there was a male long tailed duck among a group of 50 lesser scaups. The group was not there later in the day.
Merritt is very dry and not many ducks on this day:
red breasted merganser
hooded merganser
n. shovler
blue winged teal
american coot
