I went with Toe this morning to try and get better looks at the Seaside Sparrows. Toe was able to get looks at one, but this time I struck out. Last time looking I had a quick look and he missed seeing them.

Mahonaney Hammock had a few more bird this week than last. Toe heard the Barred Owl and as we were walking up to the hammock we heard a Brown Crested Flycatcher, then we saw it an took a photo. There were also a couple of Great Crested Flycatchers there as well.

We then found a 5-6 Blue-headed Vireos, a couple of White-eyed Vireo, B&W Warbler, Prairie, Palm, Black-throated Green and a Common Yellow Throat. There were a few Cardinal and several Blue Jays also.

The park appeared strangely devoid of Herons & Egrets. It wasn't until we were leaving Royal Palm that we saw a couple of Green Heron. That was it for heron and egrets. Gumbo Limbo Trail produced Great Crested Flycatcher, White-eyed Vireo and a few Prairie Warblers.

We stopped by recently not so Lucky Hammock and saw nothing there.

I'm thinking of going to A.D. Barnes this evening unless I see a post saying nothing is there.
