: On Thursday afternoon I was on my bike and I got a great look at an unusual hummingbird. It was an adult male, on the wire guarding a Hong Kong orchid tree. I looked at him for a long time, he has a solid black throat, forked tail, and all the other ruby th/ black ch marks. The strange thing was that at every angle, with the sun behind me, there was no flash of color (red or purple or otherwise) just black. Even when he drove anouther hummingbird away, and fed, still the same. Maybe a black-chinned? He's at Blaine and Lincoln in C Grove. FRANK
