The loggerhead kingbird was seen around 4-4:30 pm. His call proved to be the best indicator of his whereabouts. He posed a few times flycatcher-style at the tops of snags, but was seen mostly keeping a low profile...the short-tailed hawk was still present, but luckily dining on an appetizer: a large grasshopper.
