After ascertaining that Toe was nowhere in the area, I found the Nashville Warbler this morning, still hanging out with the BT Green and several Parulas. The bird was in a small oak in the main traffic circle near the end farthest from the entrance. Also seen in the 40 minute stop were Orange-crowned Warbler, Redstart, Tufted Titmouse and Hermit Thrush in the rooster area. Oh, and a few Yellow-rumped Warblers....
BTW, thanks to Trey, Toe, Rock & Maria for a great day on Saturday in Key West & environs, including great walk-off looks at the Loggerhead Kingbird! One of the non-lifer highlights of the day was less than a mile from Toe's house at the end of the day, when a Merlin tore past the front of the van on a hunting run and camejustthisclose to a dinner of Yellow-rumped Warbler!
