Well, I think it is safe to say that this bird had been well photographed.
I got wet, dry, landing, preening , wings spread, undertail,belly,staring back at me and every other shot imaginable.
Here's one of it calling.
BTW -I did stop at the botanical garden on Stock Island on the way back.
found prairie,black throated blue,yellow throated, bl and white warblers,northen parula and great crest flycatcher there.
All in all it was a very nice day, which I am celebrating with a woodpecker premium cider as I type.
I'm curious to hear of all the goodies Brian found at three lakes today....
