I am a Minnesota birder and will be spending most of the month of April in South Florida. I've spent very little time there in the past (actually, just a week - last week). I'll have an abundance of time, with my biggest restriction actually being transportation. I'll have to drop off and pick up my significant other at work (Pembroke Pines, he lives in Hollywood) each weekday. Hopefully he'll take some time off and do some travelling with me, but we haven't worked that out yet.
So what would you recommend for a visiting birder for a whole month?
Also, I'd like to spend a decent chunk of my time either taking a course or volunteering on a bird- or marine biology-related project, any suggestions? I'm in excellent shape and don't mind hard labor, also I have banding experience.
