A quick stop this morning at Barnes located the singing yellow phase/morph/variant House Finch, first found by Brian Rapoza this weekend. The finch was singing from the wires directly across the street from the main entrance. A possible second bird was also present, based on some chips also heard in the area. The finch at one point flew into one of the palms nearby; it could be heard calling but not seen.
A Tufted Titmouse was singing incessantly, and there were 2 Cooper's Hawks in the area.
Lots of warbler activity, mostly Yellow-rumped, but also 2 Orange-crowned, BT Blue (male), BT Green, B&W, and many Northern Parula.
Toe was evidently lurking nearby, as there was no sign of the Nashville Warbler.
