Nothing new here since it is well known to TAS members that the GHO is back on the nest again. But I would like to appreciate the cordiality, respect, and courtesy extended by observers and especially the photographers. This bird sits in a very difficult area to photograph. The trees are close, the angle is somewhat acute and the opening for a clear shot very narrow and complicated by shadows, sun angle, and a road used by vehicles. That combination restricts how many people at one time can "get the shot." It is always fun to see the "old timers-photographers" but what a happy day to see the newbies. Observer and photographers, all enjoying what mama owl is (I think) bringing new life.

The picture is circa 2006. But the view hasn't changed.
