Hi David,
During winter, most warblers (and other landbirds) in Florida switch to a largely non-animal diet because insects, spiders, and other inverts are scarce. The diets switch to fruits (e.g., figs), nectar, and/or seeds.
Yellow-rumpeds especially are granivorous; their previous name of Myrtle Warbler alludes to their feasting on abundant seeds of the Wax Myrtle.
