I made a quick stop at Cutler Wetland Tues. morning to check things out. I found lots of birds, mostly waders, common ducks, a few shore birds and tons of swallows.

Most of the swallows were Martins, Tree, and Cave Swallows with a couple of what I believe were Barn in the mix. I saw the Barns when I first arrived before I pulled out my camera, but they had the right coloration and a deep v in the tail.

There was also a single Hooded Merganser, Blue and Green Winged Teal, Mottled Duck and Northern Shovelers.

I only stayed for a short while but saw a few shorebirds also. Greater and Lesser Yellow-legs, Dowitcher Sp., Black-necked Stilt and a few peeps to far away to tell using just my binoculars.

Plenty of waders including a couple of Wood Storks. I think that as the water levels come down a little more in the next month or so; more shorebirds will be around to add to the list.

Congrats to Paul and Brian for adding a couple of great State Birds...

Just a reminder Paul, Don't forget your gloves next time!
