Three Whooping Cranes were observed along Joe Overstreet Landing Rd. on the east side of Lake Kissimmee on 2/18. The birds were in with cattle about 2/3-3/4 of the way to the lake on the right. They were quite close to the road, allowing excellent views. There appeared to be a mated pair, as they performed courtship dance for a few seconds. The third was also an adult. All three were marked with color leg tags. On the way out they were still present, but further back in the pasture.

Also sighted were a pair of Caracaras, several Bald Eagles, numerous waders on the lake, a single snipe, yellowlegs, .moorhens, coots, Y-r and Palm Warblers, Black Skimmers, turkeys, large flocks of Tree Swallows and Robins.
