The Yellow-faced Grassquit was seen easily early Saturday afternoon at various places along the back side of the trail around the Ecopond at Flamingo. We (Robin Carter, Caroline Eastman, Dennis Forsythe, and Steve Dennis) observed the bird on and off for about a half hour at approx. 13:00 on 3 Feb 2001. The bird was feeding actively along a 250 yard stretch of the trail, popping up for a few minutes, then disappearing for a while.
