I too believe this is the FL version of the mottled duck. The speculum should be blue with no or very little white lining at the base of the speculum. If you obtained a very good look at the wing you can consult the online database of duck wing id at the northern prairie research center to be certain. I am currently studying these ducks in NE Louisiana and he looks very similar to all of the drakes that i have caught during my research time.
