Western Spindalis YES!

I have seen the spindalis the last two days with out too much trouble, the bird is being seen near the sand pile on the east end of the cemetery. Look in the low fruiting Strangler Fig with all of the fruit. There are many Yellow-rumped Warblers feeding here as well as Starlings. Also look into the trees growing over the canal.

This bird is not a black-backed bird, it is a green-backed race bird which is less common.
