From Turnpike, Exit 81 (as for Wakodahatchee)
Go east to Hagen Ranch Road (traffic light)
Go north about 1.7 miles +/- and you'll see the preety gate.
It helps to bear in mind that Green Cay is about due west of Wakodahatchee which is on Jog Road. the connecting road between the two for easy access is airport rd which is actually the north boundary of a grass airport with fancy homes and hangers instead of garages.
To return to Wakodahatchee go south from Green Cay to Airport road; head east to jog rd and then north again to Wakodahatchee. The two places are a dynamic duo for bird watching in close order with assorted species. Palm Beach County should be very proud of what they have there.
As for the owls. I was there one month past and the old nest was still vacant. The word is that they are nesting but the sources didn't say where. In South Florida the baby owlets are generally out and about by April. You may miss that show.
