Good point JN. I'd like to say that you are right about researchers going wherever they have to go and doing whatever they have to do in order to obtain proof. As a field researcher myself, I understand this. I will tell you that I personally know someone who was involved in IBWO research and tells me how hard it has been to obtain any video proof (nobody bothers with cameras anymore, photos are easy to dispute) of an IBWO. I guess it's not that easy to outsmart a bird. Regardless, no one is giving up and people are in high spirits because of continued sightings, calls, and double-knocks. I couldn't agree with you more though, that videographic evidence is essential to reject the null hypothesis: the IBWO remains extinct. A little faith doesn't hurt, it can go a long way.
