I agree with you in hoping that the Ivory-billed Woodpecker persists. It will be an amazing moment to look at clear photos or to watch clear videotape. (If that moment ever arrives).
And I mean no disrespect or disservice to those who are searching.
Please realize that there are PLENTY of "skeptics" out there (perhaps for very good reason), and Tom Nelson's blog is perhaps the best of the skeptics websites. Things are kept relatively in perspective, although I don't like the fact hat many posts are anonymous, which encourages name-calling and other disrespectful behavior -- by both skeptics and believers alike.
