I went out for a little drive Saturday afternoon and had a pleasent surprise. A flock of 90+ White Pelicans at the north end of Card Sound Bridge.
I had a several nice treats over Christmas visiting my family in Washington State. They seemed to have a good number of rare water birds after a storm and I was able to pick up most of them including the Long-billed Murrelet, Thick-billed Murre, Whopper Swan, and a stray Black headed Gull. I missed the King Eider and one or two others.
