A male Western Spindalis (dark backed form) was found early this afternoon at Evergreen Cemetery. It spent most of its time in the northeastern portion of the cemetery occasionally ranging beyond the north fence line. It wasn't associating with any other birds but it seemed to favor the Live Oaks and fruiting Strangler Figs. Baltimore and Spot-breasted Orioles as well as Cedar Waxwings were also seen in the same general area.

Evergreen Cemetery is located In Ft. Lauderdale a few blocks east of US 1. The entrance gates begin at the corner of SE 10th ave. and 14th street, this gate is usually locked on weekends but there are two other gates a little to the north along 10th ave that are open on all week between 7 AM and 6 PM.
