There were many Cave Swallows this afternoon in west Homestead in a field at s.w. 312 st. and s.w. 217 ave., this is the same area that has had some Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. I have tried for the flycatchers many times but have failed to see them here this season. On research road in Everglades National Park, there was a White-tailed Kite, this bird was north of the old missile base perched in a small tree. There has been a White-tailed Kite in the same field that I saw the Cave Swallows at but not today. The White-tailed Kite has been present since November 20 when I first saw it.
